Alright ladies – yes, I know. It has been MONTHS since my last blog post. Why? Because the third trimester really IS the worst, and the fourth trimester (the first three months after the baby is born) consists of eating, sleeping and taking care of baby. At least it did in my case. So as I sit here and Miss Magdalene is sleeping I have decided that for my sanity I really need to start blogging again. I know you’re excited, you don’t have to hide it.
First things first ~ it has become glaringly obvious to me that being a mom is a completely different job and experience than being a dad. Don’t get me wrong, Jayson is a great dad – but his job is nowhere near as detailed as mine. He doesn’t have to care about the color of her poop, or the last time she ate, the fact that she hasn’t napped in the last 4 hours… It’s just “what can I do to make the baby giggle?” and “she’s crying so maybe she needs a diaper change”.
Anyway – this is me, promising to start writing again so stay tuned!
